I first chatted to Carey and Sarah when they met up with Maxine who is probably the best venue dresser you will ever meet. She is a personal friend of mine and always recommends me to her clients because she knows I always deliver and go that bit further than anyone else. The theme for the wedding was autumn so all the bridesmaids had autumn colour dresses and the groomsmen had matching ties. The Ridings Barn looked the best id ever seen it at this time of year. Maxine had managed to bring the autumn into the barn.. “It just simply looked Fabulous”.
I had the absolute pleasure to see Carey and Sarah a week before their wedding. I did a little shoot for them in the forest next to the Essex Church. The shoot went so well and Carey and Sarah are so lovely and natural to photograph. Click here to see some pics from the shoot. As soon as you meet them both you feel that you’ve known them all your life. They are an incredibly popular couple who have a friends list that is colossal. Everyone loves them, they had guests travel from all over the world to spend one day with them and then fly back. Guests came from India, Dubai, Australia and many more countries. They have two beautiful children Natty and Ayla and are both very well educated. They are also extremely accomplished athletes… representing their countries at the very highest level in Netball. There is a picture at the end outside with some of the team.
Sometimes you search so hard for words. You look for a way to put into words how the day was. The day when two people become one and vowels are spoken in front of family and friends as witnesses. These are the special moments that get embedded into our hearts and memories forever. That was this stunning chic autumn wedding.
The love between Carey and Sarah was so real and everyone can see it. The wedding ceremony was at the beautiful church in High Beech Essex and is surrounded by forest, the leaves had just dropped. This created the perfect backdrop in every angle and in every direction. Shooting pictures in these conditions certainly put my skills to the test working in low light. I was so glad that one of the bridesmaids and one of the groomsmen helped me by holding up my off camera flash guns and creating some magical shots. This beautiful wedding had all the love you could wish for and more. It was just set in one of those stunning churches and special times of the year that captivate your senses as a photographer.
It was important for Carey and Sarah to have a calm/relaxing wedding where their family and friends could eat some tasty food and share some stories, memories, and laugh together. Well you certainly managed that guys didn’t you. They were just so lovely to work with, giving me total freedom to capture their day as I saw fit. I instantly felt at ease around these two which made me feel like a guest at their wedding rather than a Photographer.
Its been great getting to know you both. Everything was perfect.. The Piñata was brilliant .. the viking done well hitting it. I hope that the Australian wedding goes well and please say hello to all your family. Sarah particularly your dad Johnny. Tell him to go easy on the handshake ..haha he will know what I’m talking about. I know that we will keep in touch now we have become friends…see you both very soon.
Heres a few pictures I have selected from the day. Scroll slowly and take it all in.
