Nothing encapsulates the beauty of eternal love quite like a wedding. When Lizzy and Lain chose Knebworth House as their wedding venue, they knew they needed a talented wedding photographer who could expertly capture their special day. I had the pleasure of photographing Lizzy in her design job so photographing her wedding was a real privilege. I am a renowned wedding photographer at Knebworth House and embrace my reportage photography style to immortalise the candid moments, genuine emotions, and captivating connections that made this wedding so perfect.
Setting the Stage: Knebworth House, a Perfect Wedding Venue
Knebworth House, nestled in the breath-taking Hertfordshire countryside, provided an enchanting backdrop for Lizzy and Lain’s wedding. Its architectural splendour, picturesque gardens, and rich history perfectly complemented the couple’s vision of a classic and elegant wedding. As a seasoned wedding photographer at Knebworth House, I know how to capture the venue’s timeless beauty in every frame.
The Love Story Unfolds
Lizzy and Lain’s remarkable love story began years ago, and their wedding day marked the start of their new chapter together. The photography style here at John Paul O’Donnell Photography allows us to effortlessly weave a narrative through his lens, capturing the essence of their love story.
The morning started with Lain, his dad, granddad and best man at the bride and grooms home. Then it was off to The Cromwell Hotel in Old Stevenage as Lizzy and her bridesmaids prepared for the day ahead at. My unobtrusive approach allowed me to capture the genuine emotions shared between Lizzy and her closest friends, preserving these intimate moments forever.
As the ceremony approached, Lain eagerly awaited his bride, a mix of nerves and excitement etched upon his face. John Paul’s reportage style immortalised these raw emotions, capturing the essence of Lain’s love for Lizzy. The ceremony itself took place in Knebworth barns, which is set within the grounds of Knebworth House. There was a beautiful blend of tradition and personal touches, with heartfelt vows exchanged and smiles shared by all.
The Celebration of Love

The venue was adorned with beautiful flowers, soft candlelight, and elegant décor, creating an ambiance of sophistication and romance. John Paul’s reportage style enabled him to capture the fleeting moments of laughter, tears, and love that unfolded throughout the evening.
The atmosphere was filled with joy as friends and family gathered to toast the newlyweds My ability to capture candid shots allowed me to freeze moments of pure happiness, showcasing the love and connection between Lizzy and Lain, as well as their loved ones.
We then went out into the gardens of Knebworth House for a private shoot which was amazing and finished with a very special picture (you will see it as the very last part of this post).
The couple’s first dance was a truly magical moment, as they smiled and laughed to the rhythm of their chosen song which was played by their close friend who is an Ibiza club DJ.
