16 BEST WEDDING VENUES IN HERTFORDSHIRE AND ESSEX

16 BEST WEDDING VENUES IN HERTFORDSHIRE AND ESSEX. Find more amazing wedding venues throughout Hertfordshire and the South East From Luxury Venues to Barn Venues, find your Hertfordshire or Essex wedding venue here. Summer is undoubtedly the busiest time of the year for weddings. There is a good reason for this popularity, better weather and longer days mean everyone can enjoy sipping their champagne outside in the sunshine. One thing all of our top venues have in common is their stunning outdoor space which is why they are such great choices for a summer wedding. Having photographed hundreds of weddings John Paul has visited the best luxury venues Hertfordshire and Essex has to offer. Both county’s have a lot of amazing venues to choose from, making them hugely popular locations for weddings. There is something to fit every couple’s style from luxury hotels to rustic barns. We have compiled a list of the best wedding venues in Hertfordshire and Essex with loads of inspiration from real weddings..

WHY CHOOSE HERTFORDSHIRE OR ESSEX FOR YOUR WEDDING?

Hertfordshire and Essex are fantastic places to get married. We have so many incredible venues on offer. Because of this there is a vast network of wedding suppliers in the area. There are endless opportunities in these counties to make your dream wedding a reality. A lot of the wedding venues also operate as hotels or have on-site accommodation for your guests. This makes planning the wedding really easy. Every couple has an idea in mind of how they want their wedding to be. Our advice is to do plenty of research. Make a shortlist of wedding venues you want to know more about and go see them in person. Every venue will have dedicated coordinators on hand to answer any questions. Another option is to consider booking a planner to help with this. Wedding planners will have lots of experience with each venue. A rustic barn might be what you have in mind but logistically it won’t work because of the size of your day. A planner will know what venues work best and be able to help negotiate available dates on your behalf.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

1) FANHAMS HALL

Fanhams Hall hotel is located in Ware, Hertfordshire.  It’s a Jacobean Mansion house and one of the facts about Fanhams is that Lord Brocket’s wife Lady Brocket resided here until her death in 1949. It was Lady Brocket’s interest in horticulture that influenced the employment of Japanese gardeners to create the Hall’s formal gardens. Her ornamental lakes and choice of trees (such as Japanese maples) can still be seen in the present-day formal grounds. An exceptional combination where old tradition meets the 21st century, Fanhams Hall is a Jacobean Manor House with 77 bedrooms. The hotel’s Hertfordshire location is just a short distance from all the major routes into London, Stanstead, M1, M25 or simply the A10 just around the corner. In my opinion as a pro photographer every angle at Fanhams is a winner. Theres so many beautiful areas that lend themselves to photographs and with Fanhams Hall the sun is always in the right position.

6) HANBURY MANOR

Perhaps one of the oldest residences in Hertfordshire is Hanbury Manor. This striking property was built in 1890 and has now become an amazing wedding venue.  Hanbury Manor WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY is second to none. Poles Hall which was the former chapel, now deconsecrated was converted into the magnificent banqueting room. The Thundridge Suite, Garden Court, Library, Lounge and the grounds are simply stunning. Hanbury Manor now serves as a unique venue for wedding receptions. The original features are stunning, from oak beams to the most amazing flooring and windows. Often both the Mansion House and Garden Court are used together in separate weddings but this doesn’t affect either parts as the grounds are so vast.  The Mansion House is on a  championship 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus II. As well as a leisure centre with heated indoor pool and state of the art gym the setting is breathtaking.  Leading out from the mansion area guests can enjoy the beautiful views Hanbury Manor has to offer.
