Love Letters and Dancefloor OMG Entertainments

 

I first met Angela and steven when they came to a wedding show that I was at.  when I started chatting with them I could really tell that this would be an amazing day and if the weather was good it would be perfect. Well Angela looked amazing, the attention to detail was perfect and the weather was gorgeous.  I felt really happy that they decided to book with me as I know they saw 6 photographers.

The day started with me arriving over at Fanhams to see Steven.  He was in a room getting ready with his two little boys Bailey and Ashton.  The rest of the boys were in there and they all started getting ready.  I did some great shots of them all before heading over to see the Bride.

When I arrived in the room Angela was having her make up done.  She was looking absolutely stunning and she has the most beautiful smile.  I met her sister Julia who was the maid of honour and the bridesmaids Selda, Kathy and May…3 lovely ladies.  We put the dresses up together and took some nice shots and when Angelas make up was done I got some lovely shots using the natural window light and Angelas eyes just sparkled..this was going to be an easy shoot. I got all the girls in a shot together and headed down to the bar to see steven and the groomsmen. We had a little walk down to the Jacobean steps and did some pictures. I then went back up to get the girls pictures as they were now doing each others dresses up.

Angela’s dad then came into the room and saw her in the dress…his face was a picture …she looked fabulous. I took this opportunity to shoot some pictures of her on her own and then with the the bridesmaids etc before heading over to the Long Gallery to set up for the Ceremony.

Steven was waiting for his bride looking relaxed and handsome.  He watched her walk in and smiled from ear to ear.  The ceremony was performed by Margaret and Jackie from Hertford Registy office..two lovely and very experienced ladies.  The ceremony finished with a big kiss and everyone cheering.

We then all headed outside and I took a picture of the whole wedding party. I then shot all the group pictures and Angela and Steven did all the shots and I met some great people especially my new friends from poland.. Angelas family.

I then took the bride and groom all the way round the gardens at Fanhams Hall.  I used The Green Austrian house and Bridge, The Red Japanese Bridge and house and the ornamental formal gardens.  With the help of May “Great Bridesmaid” we created some amazing photos. Angela and Steven really did well with both classical and natural photos being taken throughout the 30 minute shoot.  As we were heading back to the Mansion the rain started.. we had missed it all day and were so lucky. The bride and Groom and May stayed under the trees and   I ran back me and a member of the Fanhams team came back with umbrellas and made sure that the bride and groom didn’t get wet.

Once we got back in everyone sat down in The Great Hall for the wedding breakfast.  Jonathan from fanhams was running the function… it ran perfectly and the food was exceptional. After the meal the speeches started. John the father of the bride started and was superb.. a man whose obviously done a lot of public speaking. Steven then followed and thanked everyone.. he said the most beautiful things to his bride and was a very happy man. Dave the second best man then followed. Then it was time for Bailey the 10 year old star of the show and best man to his dad.. he was brilliant and had the room in laughter with his brilliant speech.

Once the speeches finished the room was turned around and Dan from Shoosh weddings started to set up.  The starlit dance floor was set up and the LOVE letters were put in.  The room looked amazing.  Angela came in and had a good look to make sure she was happy.  It was at this point that the guests all came in. The dance floor was surrounded and they cut their wedding cake.  They then took their place to start their first dance which was a beautifully choreographed routine.  Amazing and beautiful to watch.  Dan then got the party going a put some great tunes on.. everyone danced and I was very impressed with the Polish family..”they can certainly move around the dance floor”.

Message to Angela and Steven… Sunday was amazing, you two were amazing to photograph.  I will never forget your wedding and i know that we will keep in touch after everything done.   You are an  amazing couple and thank you for choosing me to be the one to capture your amazing day. JP
