Latest Wedding Photography at Newland Hall Essex

I first met Carly & Matthew about 18 months ago when they came to see me after being recommended by a really good colleague who has a chocolate buffet business.

When you first meet the couple you realise they are very much in love. They really are a lovely people.

11.00 am. I arrived at Great Hallingbury Manor where Carly was getting ready. I walked in and there were all the bridesmaids plus Kaleigh (hair) and Elly Jayne (make up). Carly was sitting having her hair done and she looked amazing. The girls all sat on the bed in their pj’s and I remember telling them ‘this is going to be easy for me’ they are all absolutely stunning. Carly joined them and I took a few pictures of them all together.

12 noon. The dress went on and I took a few pictures and left everyone to freshen up before they leave for the church.

12.40 pm. I arrive at All saints Church, Bishops Stortford. Parking was tight so I blocked in Anthony (video man) and went up to see Matthew and the boys. Matthew was very relaxed and looking very well.

12.50 pm. Bridesmaids arrive and we did some pictures before Carly made her entrance.

1.10 pm. Carly pulled in with her dad in a beautiful white Rolls Royce Phantom. “wow”.

1.15 pm. The Ceremony started and I moved down to the front of the beautiful church to get some great shots and stay out of sight. when you take these type of photographs a Pro photographer will always stay in one fixed position and not move about. The one thing you don’t want to do is be obtrusive. So I took 3 lenses and that was me set for the wedding ceremony.

After the wedding ceremony we went outside into the glorious sunshine and did some pictures before making the 30 minute drive to Newland Hall, Chelmsford.

3.10 pm. We arrived at Newland Hall and to my fortune there stood Mark Greatbatch (master of ceremonies) Mark is a fabulous toastmaster and “my job just got a lot easier”. We did some beautiful photographs out the front of this beautiful house and grabbed a quick selfie for my Facebook Page.

3.40 pm. The drinks reception started and the photographs were taken. Some of the brides family were not there as they were checking in at the hotel the other side of Chelmsford so I arranged to take these pictures after the meal.

4.45 pm. the meal started and I went outside by the kitchens with Anthony Video and met the band, great to see Austin Drage singer and x Factor star .. Austin later on would be singing for the couple.

7.00 pm. The speeches started.

8.00 pm. The brides family pictures were taken and then some fun Reportage photos were taken in the early evening sun.

8.45 pm. The cake was cut and the first dance started the band got ready and the evening was in full flow.

The day was amazing. I would like to thank Nikki from the Chocolate Buffet Company for recommending me to Carly and Matthew.

The wedding was amazing, it was a real pleasure to photograph such a beautiful and amazing couple. They are now away on a secret honeymoon (bride didn’t know where she was going until arrival at the airport)… but I know it they are currently in The Seychelles.
