Due to Covid I didnt get to meet Shabree and Daniel before their wedding. They booked me based on my website images and of course chatting with me on the phone.
The day began at 9 am with the registry service, the main service was at 12 midday with pastor Hamilton. As soon as I saw Daniel and Shabree together for their 15 minute registry ceremony I knew they were going to be great to photograph. You can see in the images below they have a beautiful, natural thing going on that you cant miss, its there and it radiates through them both.
Shabree and Daniel got ready in separate parts of the hotel this was great as myself and Anthony (Videographer) could bounce between the two of them and also get set up for the ceremony.
The ceremony was small and intimate, Pastor Hamilton was a guest at the wedding too so he knew the couple extremely well. After the ceremony the guests gathered for the confetti shot. I took this along the back terrace as I wanted to shoot it against the light as opposed to straight from the building. This was because the couple would have been in direct sunlight (hard shadows) “not how you shoot wedding pics”.
The temperature was 82 degrees in the shade so we didn’t walk far from the wedding guests for the first part of the shoot. I used the lavender and high grass by Fanhams Halls Lakeside Pavillion this was lovely. For the second part we jumped on the golf buggy and headed into the heart of the venue. I used the Japanese Gardens, Tea House, Bridges and High Trees for the main shots then finished in the Formal Gardens for that shot that every couple love (The House In The Background).
Due to the heat and the time, I shot the family pictures after the meal as the temperature had also dropped. I used the shade of the horse chestnut tree which was perfect.
All in all what a great day, the family and friends were some of the nicest people I have ever photographed.

Shabree and Daniel, I will never forget your big day.
Daniel…The Plantation Rum with you, your best man, Anthony and Myself :). That amazing white jacket and you standing by that window banging out one shot after another for me.
Shabree… getting to take beautiful pictures when you saw your dad and seeoing you in your beautiful dress. Setting the scene with Emma doing her thing. but most of all you two, those little smiles at each other and doing all those pics in that heat!
What a day and what a great couple you both are. . JP
