Natalie and Callem had a big wedding planned for this date but due to Covid 19 decided to hold a very small intimate wedding on their original day. Then next year all going well have a big wedding and hopefully everybody will be there.
The Big Day.
Both Natalie and Callem got ready at Hanbury Manor. The photos started 2.5 hours before with Callem and Matthew (Natalie’s brother) getting ready. After opening presents and some shots getting their suits on we headed outside to see the two dads and get some photos together.
I then headed over to Natalie’s room to see her and the girls getting ready. Natalie was a bridesmaid at her friend Beckys wedding so I knew she was already very photogenic. But I wasn’t ready for just how photogenic she was. Then when you see them both together – its every photographers dream.
The ceremony was small due to Covid 19 but was still very intimate. It was conducted by Richard Edwards (Hertfordshires number one registrar). The kiss at the end was one of the longest I have seen in over 1000 weddings. Even though it was a small wedding the cheer when they became husband and wife was as big as 100 people.
After they had drinks and time with their guests I took Natalie and Callem out to the courtyard. This is a very beautiful part of Hanbury Manors mansion House. All the guests followed and I shot the group pictures. I used the sparkly lit windows and put some creative lighting in to create the shots as the light was fairly flat. I then shot some pictures of Natalie and Callem using the courtyard as a backdrop.
Natalie then went and changed into her other wedding dress and made a lovely entrance. Callem couldn’t stop kissing her – it was beautiful, that connection and love that just emanates through them both.
After some pictures in the lounge and balcony of the hotel we ventured outside and used the doorway entrance. It was wet and cold but using my off camera lighting system I created some of the most beautiful striking images. You will see it below in black and white.
After a lovely meal, speeches by Natalie’s dad and Callem we finished the photos with a lovely moment cutting the cake.
“Natalie and Callem, what a day – I knew after the pre shoot with Dexter The Dog you was going to give everything to the pictures and you really did. I was very privileged along with Anthony Video to be there and watch you get married. I wish you a lifetime of happiness”. JP
