Waltham Abbey Town Hall Wedding Photographer. A beautiful wedding day captured in a reportage style by Essex and Herts wedding photographer.
I have known Emma and Alex for nearly 8 years. In that time they have had two children George and Ronnie and I have had the pleasure of taking their family photos in the studio. Emma and Alex booked their wedding photography all the way back in January 2019 but due to Covid-19 the date was changed twice, with the couple finally settling on Saturday 23rd September 2023.
The Wedding day.
Everything started at The Marriott Hotel, Waltham Abbey with Alex. He was getting ready with his best man Danny and usher Chas. It was a lovely suite and the atmosphere was very chilled. Once the photos of Alex getting ready were taken I shot off over to Church Langley, Essex to see Emma.
Emma was getting ready at home with her bridesmaids, mum Denise and close friends. Denise works in hair and make in the film industry and is currently filming a movie set back in Victorian London. So once Amanda Roberts finished Emma’s hair and make up Denise did the top ups. Emma said herself “if my mum did my make up I would have been an emotional wreck”. Emily the maid of honour was very lucky as Denise did her hair and make up – very lucky lady. The bridesmaids make up was done by Lauren Jacobs, hair by Denise. Three very talented ladies as you will see in the photos below.
We all arrived at Waltham Abbey Church, Father Peter conducted the ceremony beautifully. After the official kiss and signing of the register we headed outside. I set up a confetti tunnel which was perfect as the sun was behind them hitting Emmas veil making her look like an angel. Then I fired through all the group photos at the front of the church as we were in lovely soft light. Once guests had been photographed they made their way across the road to Waltham Abbey Town Hall for drinks and canapes.
The bridal party then followed myself and Anthony Video (Dream-team) into the ruins at the back of the church to shoot all the bridal portraits. Then we finished with some fun shots using the archways and old ruins as the main backdrops.
It was now time for meal to be served so we all headed back to The Town Hall and took our seats. After the meal it was speeches, cake cutting and then the first dance. Waltham Abbey Town Hall had been beautifully dressed and set up for the wedding and Emma and Alex had a fantastic party and celebration.
After a traditional boys cigar shot I set up to take an outside photo of the bride and groom. As it was dark I used off camera flash and a long exposure. The front of the Town Hall looked amazing you will see it below. I then said my goodbyes and left them to enjoy the rest of their evening.
