artistic wedding photography hertfordshire
Title – artistic wedding photography.
Artistic wedding photography is and always will be a popular style. As styles change with fashion and popularity so does the shooting style of the photographer. Photographers are always going to be artistic in their shots and this is what makes them stand out from each other and makes them distinct.
Classical photography, Reportage, candid, traditional or photo journalism ? What style of photography do you prefer ? Location is key but then day or night, sunset or warm evening will shape the images you shoot.
Many conditions give us the opportunities we need to be artistic and really excel. In my view the best style is an artistic one with a classical and relaxed balance. I personally like to take the pictures in a very natural unobtrusive way. I am always looking for the little glances, winks or smiles from my bride and grooms. Sometimes I look at certain brides and straight away I can see that they have what it takes for me to get really artistic.
It is very important that your couple are relaxed and confident with you when you shoot their pictures, this will ensure natural expression. When I have my first appointment with a couple and start talking about their wedding day. One of the things that they always say to me is how natural and relaxed the photos look. Then they see some video footage of me shooting and they see the images from that particular shoot that they’ve just seen me taking. This usually ensures the booking because they see the way I compose myself – confident but not arrogant… a little cheeky and fun.
Here are some examples of different shooting styles.
