The Day We Met.
I first met Danny and Caroline when they came along to a wedding show at Waltham Abbey Marriot Hotel. From the very first moment we chatted we got on. We had such a lovely conversation on my stand that day and I wanted to take their photos for their wedding. I penciled their date in for them and they then came over to another wedding show at Theobalds Park, their chosen destination. It was at this meeting they bought some of the family with them and I got them booked in. Over the next two years we messaged, became friends on social media and kept in close contact. Almost 1 year to the day we did a pre wedding photo shoot at Fanhams Hall. See it here this shoot went beautifully and it was a great opportunity to try a few things out. I would recommend to anybody whether your booking me or someone else to do this, its well worth the money.
The Wedding Day.
All week I was looking at the weather, I wanted so badly for it to be a dry day. The weather all day was perfect, sunshine, cloud; perfect photography conditions. I arrived at 9.30am to concentrate on getting some nice preparation shots of Danny and all his boys. He was chilled and surrounded by all his top boys and his dad Gary and Carolines dad Andy. Danny smashed all his pictures, everyone wanted shots with him and it was a really chilled morning.
I got into the main house and saw Caroline. Now I’m not just saying but she’s a real stunner and knows exactly how to pose for the shots best natural or posed. Her dress was hanging up and myself and the 2 video guys got some lovely footage. Once she got into her dress her dad Andy came in and saw his daughter and a little was shed by both of them.
I arrived at the church and saw father John. Caroline then arrived and the ceremony started. This was a beautiful ceremony and I felt the hairs on my arms stand up when the violinist played. After the ceremony Danny and Caroline led all their guests outside and everyone threw their confetti. The guests then got into the Routemaster Bus and the Bride and Groom into the Rolls Royce Phantom. Once we arrived at Theobalds estate I took some pictures at the front of the Mansion and then the Treehouse and Ridings Barn.
Caroline and Danny then saw all their wedding guests and had a lovely drinks reception before heading in for the meal. After the meal the speeches started and were all brilliant. Dennis the best man had a screen up with images playing of Danny and Caroline which was lovely.
After the meal I took Caroline and Danny out for a Golden Sunset shoot and took the featured Image black and white shot at the top of this blog…this is one of my nicest shots this year.
It was now time for the First Dance. The dry ice was flowing and they danced beautifully together 4 Confetti Cannons then went off and made it even better. I finished the photos with a sparkler send off shot at 10pm.
Danny and Caroline, from the very first moment I met you both I felt a great connection. Ive made great friends with you both over the last two years and I know we will keep in touch long after the wedding and for years to come. Thank you for choosing me to capture your day and be there with you. JP x
