The day started with me arriving at Fanhams Hall nice and early to get a few pictures of Jonathan getting ready with his best man and ushers. The room was hot and there was lots going on. They had a little drink whilst getting ready, we then headed out for some pictures in the grounds. I shot the pics using the shade of the main house as the backdrop which looked amazing.
I then arrived at Emma’s. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a big smile and an even bigger hug. She had just popped the bubbly and was so relaxed and happy. She showed me her dress which was absolutely stunning …so me being me took a few lovely shots of her with it. Emma then went down and had her make up done. The girls were all there getting ready too and Emma’s dad was in the garden under a big umbrella. The day was absolutely roasting and the sun was out…”this must have been the hottest day of the year so far”.
Once Emma was in the dress she saw her brother Tom, his reaction was priceless but only overshadowed by the proudest man Tony (Emma’s dad). He was blown away and fighting back the tears as he saw her in her dress for the first time.
I left the house shortly after to get over to Fanhams Hall to set up for the wedding Ceremony in The Long Gallery. The Long Gallery in my opinion is breathtaking and lovely to shoot pictures in. Jonathan took his position with Paul his best man. Emma then made her entrance in with her dad and Jonathan saw her and was a very happy boy.
The ceremony was lovely and finished with the new Mr and Mrs Redmond walking their guests outside into the sunshine for their drinks reception. They then went for a little drive in the wedding car and when they came back had all their photos taken. I made use of the lavender and main gardens before we headed back for the wedding breakfast. After the wedding breakfast we were treated to three amazing speeches each unique and brilliant in their own way, all had serious parts and parts which people were bent over laughing at.
After the meal the bride and groom planted a rose together with the help of Oliver from Fanhams Hall. Myself and Anthony from Spotlight Weddings (videographer) then drove the couple round the areas of the gardens that we know from experience make for the best shots.
Emma and Jonathan then cut their wedding cake and had their first dance together. The dance floor was then filled with all the guests who clearly were ready to party.
