John Paul ODonnell is a Fanhams Hall Wedding Photographer based in Hertfordshire. My natural reportage style captures the story as it unfolds.

The day began with a sense of excitement and anticipation as Arturo and his groomsmen were getting ready in the boys room which was equipped with a table tennis table. Sherry was getting ready with her bridesmaids in the Royston Room at Fanhams Hall. The room was filled with laughter, tears of joy and excitement.

Fanhams Hall Wedding Photographer. As a professional Fanhams Hall wedding photographer, I am  privileged to witness the love and joy shared by couples on their special day. On Sunday 29th October 2023 I had the honour of photographing the wedding of Sherry and Arturo.  The weather was forecast wet, but we were very lucky as the day unfolded.

The ceremony was performed by Jacqueline Earle and was her last wedding as she was retiring. It took place in the Magnificent Long Gallery which is  the most beautiful room in the building. As Sherry walked down the aisle, a tear glistened in Arturo’s eye, showcasing the depth of their love and the significance of this moment. From that first moment they met in Pop World, Hertford to this moment; the love they have for each other radiates. Their vows were heartfelt and sincere, leaving not a dry eye in the room.

The rain had stopped so everybody headed outside for the confetti shot. As the day unfolded, we used the stunning grounds of Fanhams Hall, capturing intimate moments between Sherry and Arturo against the picturesque backdrops. From the sun-kissed steps leading down to the formal gardens, to the enchanting fountain with the Manor House, each location served as a perfect canvas to immortalise their love story.

The reception was nothing short of magical. The Great Hall at Fanhams Hall was elegantly decorated, with soft lighting and huge Jacobean windows. The speeches started and were all very good. It was time for the evening guests to arrive and tea and coffee to be served. I took this opportunity to shoot some photos on the staircase with Sherry and Arturo. We then took a fun picture in the Oak Room which involved the bride being thrown into the air – a brilliant fun picture.

The newlyweds shared their first dance surrounded by their loved ones,  the room was filled with applause and cheers. Sherry and Arturo’s connection is beautiful and it was an honour to capture their most cherished moments as they celebrated their love with family and friends. Then it was the traditional Italian dancing, filled with brilliant photos and lots of fun.

Being a photographer who has been to Fanhams Hall many times allows me to witness and document love stories like Sherry and Arturo’s. It is a privilege to be chosen to capture such intimate and significant moments. I am grateful for the opportunity to create lasting memories for couples like them.
