The day started at Fanhams Hall nice and early for Warrens arrival. He arrived with his two brothers in style in a beautiful 1965 Silver Cloud Rolls Royce.
Gaia was having her hair and make up done. Everyone was getting themselves ready and there was plenty going on. As a documentary style photographer I like to get the background shots as well as the more classical images. The Bridesmaids were helping Gaia get into her dress and with the help of Youtube they got it done perfectly.
Warren was getting ready in a room at the venue too so I went between the two of them and covered all those getting ready shots.
The ceremony took place down in the Japanese Tea House. After the Civil ceremony the bride and groom had a Jewish Blessing. This was a beautiful part of the day and finished with the bride and groom breaking bread.
I don’t like it to feel like any wedding day is about photos, photos, photos, of course they are very important, but it is also important to me to remember that each couple should be able to enjoy their wedding without being dragged away frequently for photos.
In between the formal proceedings I made use of all the best parts of Fanhams Hall. I concentrated mostly on the formal gardens, archways, steps, courtyard and then later on the Japanese gardens.
Not wanting to miss an opportunity, when you see the sky setting as it did, we got on the hotel golf buggy and we were off. Moira and Warren were delighted we took 10 mins out before their first dance to get a small collection of evening images down in the Japanese gardens.
After the first dance the Hora Dance started with Gaia and Warren going flat out in full Jewish Tradition for at least 20 minutes.
With the band in full flow, the dance floor packed I got some great dancing shots and finished the photos there.
Thank you so much, Gaia and Warren for choosing me as your photographer. It was so much fun!
