As couples navigate the process of selecting a photographer, many are drawn to enticing offers advertised on social media, often at remarkably low prices. We urge you to exercise caution when clicking on these adverts and making this important decision for your special day. Unfortunately, I have received numerous calls from brides distressed over their wedding photographs, seeking help with images that fell far below their expectations. Not only that but when you book someone based on an advert and not Reviews and Reputation then your asking for trouble.

 

The reality is that wedding photography is a one-time opportunity. There is a reason why some photographers charge significantly less; they may lack the necessary professional experience or like many may be pursuing photography as a side venture while maintaining a full-time job. I have seen this many times. Most recently on a wet November day I was shooting a wedding and had to gather guests with the toastmaster (the light was dropping fast).  The videographer decided to take the bride and groom down to a bridge on a muddy wet path and in the process she ruined a pair of £800 Jimmy Choo shoes. I had taken all the photos on the driveway with the most beautiful country house behind them. This was perfect, as the light was dropping it was reflecting back up off of the gravel which looked beautiful. The Videographer definitely wasn’t a pro as a pro would not have done that.
