How we met.
I have actually known Darren for a few years. From going into Beadles in Cheshunt where he is a jeweller and is very well-known. He made the Wedding rings for his own Wedding and they really were very impressive. I met Keeley for the first time when they both came to my Studio to chat about their wedding photography. We got on very well and by the end of the chat they had filled out the booking form and were then Booked in with me.
The Wedding Day 1st May 2016.
All week the weather forecast was changing we had showers and even snow forecast. I arrived at The Royal Chace Hotel in Enfield at 11 am to start the wedding photos..the sun was shining and the weather was perfect, I was so pleased as I’ve got to know the couple well and wanted a sunny day for them.
Keeley and the girls were getting ready at the hotel so the day started with lots of natural photographs of the hair and make up and detail images. I took some lovely photos of Keeley drinking champagne and looking very relaxed and gorgeous then some of The dress, flowers, Jewellery and shoes before heading down to Photograph Darren, the best men and the groomsmen putting their button holes on, I then took them outside for the main shots… they went for a really cool look of Black tie with Braces.
The Civil Ceremony was held in The Queens Suite and afterwards the couple had their drinks reception in the Bar and terrace area of the suite.. the sun was out and everyone was having a great time. During the drinks reception I whisked Keeley and Darren off into the grounds and then I got the guests to follow and started the main pics with a confetti shot with two massive lines of guests and the couple running through the middle with everyone cheering. I shot the main group shots then I kept the couple out for a photo shoot in the grounds using the pavilion and the high sun to get some amazing backlit pictures and then used the front of the hotel using the fantastic gates, the rest of the day was photographed using my natural style which is reportage wedding photography to capture the bride and groom at their most natural and their guests enjoying the magical day at this beautiful venue.
After the meal the speeches started with the brides mum Sharon doing an amazing and very emotional speech to her daughter and new son-in-law.. half way through Keeley got up and hugged her mum helping her to get through it and then finishing with the whole room standing and clapping. Darren then did a great speech thanking everyone for coming and thanking Keeley for all the work that went into the day and finishing it with thanking her for giving him two beautiful children Lilly and Ronnie. The speeches then finished with the Best mens speech.. Steve and Ben.. Steve was very articulate and had some good gags and fun in his.. Ben.. cool, confident and managed to drop some great stories in and had the whole room laughing and shocked.. he delivered a great speech that was worthy of a very close and valued friend as did Steve.
The DJ arrived Shoosh weddings (Dan).. great guy and brilliant music.. the dance floor lit up and Darren and Keeley did their first dance, half way through they were joined by their two little ones.. a beautiful moment and the guests all surrounded the dance floor. This was followed by some of the best drunken dancing that I have seen to date.. great moves and loads of fun.
I finished the pictures with a quick Sky shot outside with the couple kissing… a perfect way to end their Wedding Pictures.
