How we met.
I first met Kellie and Dean two years ago when they were at Rachael and Danny Bruces wedding. Kellie was Rachael’s maid of honour, they are very close friends and Rachael did a brilliant job for Kellie. Rachael was Kellies maid of honour too.. these two have a fantastic friendship. So a year on Kellie and Dean came over to see me to book me to take their wedding photos. Since then we have kept in touch and when their day came I was so excited to start the pictures and to see everyone.
The Wedding Day
The day started with me arriving at Deans parents house at 9am, everyone was arriving including all the groomsmen and best man (which totalled 18 with the two dads). I took some pictures of everyone out in the garden and finished with a few photos with Dean at the front of the house. I then headed over to the Marriot Hotel, Cheshunt to start the pictures with Kellie and all the bridesmaids.
I went into the room Kellie and all the bridesmaids were getting ready. Kellie and Dean have 3 beautiful children Connor, Lillie-Rose and Joey. Lillie-Rose sat with her mum as she opened her presents from Dean. Kellie then put her into her dress and she looked very pretty posing for me outside. Kellie then got into her dress and it was at this point that her dad Gary walked in and saw his daughter for the first time….he threw his arms up for a hug and was a very proud man. I took some pictures out in the garden with the bridesmaids and flower girls (which totalled 14). The weather was fabulous and Kellie looked stunning.. she knows how to pose for a picture at some points even using the pockets in her wedding dress. The cars arrived outside and one of the video team jumped in with me to shoot down to the church to set up for the ceremony.
When I arrived at St Augustines church Dean was walking down the tree lined path with all his ushers and groomsmen. They then headed in to see the vicar (Charles) before the bridesmaids and Kellie arrived. As Kellie walked in Dean took a good look at his bride and had a huge smile on his face. After the ceremony the whole wedding party joined them for a picture signing the register. Kellie and Dean then headed out and everyone threw the confetti. We did some group pictures at the church because I knew when they all arrived at the reception it would be difficult to get them all outside. I took a few more pictures at the church with the cars before we all headed off to Forty Hall.
When we arrived at forty Hall the bride and groom pulled in with the roof down on the wedding car.. their youngest child Joey was sat in between them fast asleep. I took some pictures of the cars at the front of the house. I then made use of other parts of the grounds using the old doorways and walled gardens. Kellie and Dean then joined their guests for drinks and more pics. They then took their seats for the wedding breakfast and then got ready for the speeches. After the speeches everyone went outside… it was a lovely sunny evening and I took advantage of this and went for a short walk with the bride and groom round the grounds taking natural photos. The bridesmaids and groomsmen then joined in, sat on the steps and fired two huge confetti cannons off.
The bride and groom then greeted their evening guests and spent time with them outside. The main hall looked beautiful and it was at this point that the bride and groom had their first dance surrounded by everyone. One of the family members then took the microphone and sang some songs then everyone joined in for the dancing.
I said goodbyes and left Kellie and Dean to enjoy the rest of the night with all their family and friends.
