Lois and ashton wedding Fanhams Hall. This beautiful July wedding started early with pictures of Ashton and his brothers (best men) getting ready. They bought a couple of very nice bottles of Brandy with them and had arranged for some of their boys to come and join them for pre wedding drinks in their room. When you see Ashton with all his mates together you soon realise he’s very popular and has a huge group of friends. I took a few fun pictures of them getting ready and then decided to head over to the see Lois and all the girls getting ready in their room.
When I arrived Lois was having her make up and hair done. It was all going on with everyone getting ready together. When she got into her dress she looked even more stunning.. the registrars came in and ran through the formal stuff. I then headed down to the far end of the gardens to get set up for the Wedding Ceremony. We had set up a high camera 30 feet up on a remote trigger so we could take pictures from a different perspective at different points of the day.
Ashton was chatting with his mum, sister and brothers.. he was little nervous. It was at this point that all the bridesmaids made their way down the red carpet and were followed by Lois and her brother Jamie who had the important job of giving his sister away. The ceremony was fantastic, it had serious parts, fun parts but what I noticed more than anything were the little looks and smiles that the couple gave each other throughout the ceremony.
After the ceremony the guests headed up for drinks and I took advantage of some of the best locations for pictures whilst walking the couple in the right direction. The bridesmaids and best men etc came with us as did their partners which was nice as I got to shoot lots of fun and different pictures… including them all sitting on the steps (pic below). When I take pictures at Fanhams Hall I like to use the natural landscape, formal gardens and the old brick doorways, arches and steps that surround the main house.
The couple then joined all their guests for drinks and I shot the group pictures. The Pavillion was all set and the everyone took their seats for dinner. The meal as always was fantastic and then followed the speeches. What was nice with the speeches is that it was an open mic so anyone who wanted to say something to the couple did and it was lovely. The brides uncle started everything off with the speech on behalf of the Lois dad who was unable to attend the wedding.
We then headed out into the high grass and shot some beautiful summer evening pictures before heading in with all the guests for the first dance. Everyone then joined in and the music was buzzing… what a party and the dancing..? well it was on point!.
Message to Lois and Ashton, it was lovely spending the day with you. Your families and friends were so lovely and kind to me.. the amount of your friends who kept asking me if I wanted a drink was lovely and it was well needed as the weather was amazing. What a day.. thats all I can really say and also that I will never forget it. It will be one of the greatest wedding at Fanhams Hall that Ive ever done. Brilliant people and I know I’ve met and made some great friends in you.
Here a few pictures from the Lois and Ashtons wedding at Fanhams Hall that I have selected from the day. Enjoy!
