I first met Matt many years ago when he was working at Ponsbourne Park Hotel. We did many weddings together so when he called me to say him and Rosie just got engaged I was thrilled. Shortly after we all met up and they booked in with me to photograph their big day. The bride and groom are such a great couple with huge friend groups. They were surrounded by their families and their close friends in an intimate and beautiful wedding ceremony. Everyone had a great time all the way through the wedding day which is exactly how Rosie and Matt planned it.

The Wedding Day

The day started with me heading over to Hanbury Manor at 11am. Both Matt and Rosie were getting ready there at different ends of the hotel. Matt and his dad and boys, Rosie with her mum and girls. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful from the start, which continued all through the wedding day. I started with Rosie getting those important background shots. Matt text me to say he was arriving so I went up to the suite where he was getting ready. He was a little nervous but everyone kept him chilled – just like the cold coronas.

It needs to be mentioned that Rosie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress, which had some of the most gorgeous details showing beautifully. Her hair, make up, shoes and jewellery was all perfect.

The ceremony took place in the gorgeous Poles Hall. Its interior as well as exterior architecture and grounds made for some stunning backdrops to the ceremony and main shots afterwards. The drinks reception took place in the Assembly Hall and guests went out into the Courtyard for confetti. It looked so perfect that after the confetti picture I shot all the group shots against the stunning brickwork and windows.

Rosie was given away by Matts dad Chris, he was clearly very proud and honoured to give her away to his son. After the speeches and a beautiful meal, Katie from Hanbury Manor bought the golf buggy over and we took the couple off for an evening sunset shoot across the golf course. We then headed into The Thundering Room. The bride and groom cut their wedding cake and then had their first dance together. The band kicked in and had the party flowing from the start. When they finished their first set everyone went outside for a sparkler arch which Matt and Rosie walked through.

Thank you so much, Matt and Rosie for trusting in me to document your amazing day for you. It was so much fun!
