Blog from the Wedding of Roz and Adam at Friern Manor Essex.
It was early morning on Saturday 21st February, I was getting ready for the drive into the heart of Essex and the wedding of Roz and Adam Wedding at Friern Manor Essex. The First location was 11 am to see Adam (Groom) then 12 Midday to see Roz (Bride). Then the Church St Mary’s Little Burstead and then going on to the fabulous Friern Manor, Brentwood.
when I arrived at the Golf club that Adam and the boys were getting ready at.. they were all getting dressed and filling up the hip flask. The boys were great and you could clearly see that Adam was a very popular guy. In fact I met Adam at his sister Natalie’s wedding 9 Years ago when I photographed her big day.
I left Adam, the best man and ushers and went off to Billericay to go and see Roz at her parents house.
When i went in to the house I was met by Janet & Andrew the brides very proud parents. I went up stairs and saw Roz having her make up done and looking very relaxed and naturally stunning. Her best friend and bridesmaid lottie was getting her hair and make up done and then I met the very beautiful Marina (brides sister). Immediately I realised that this was going to be an easy wedding for me.. “they were all so photogenic”. I met the Brides 92-year-old Nan who only looked 70!
I left the house once Roz was in her dress and headed the 2 miles up the lane to the church. The Virger helped me find a parking space ..”great man” he was celebrating his 41st wedding anniversary and his wife was in the choir, naturally I took a photo for them and will email this blog to them so they can print it off. The Ceremony was performed by Margaret the vicar at St Mary’s this was her first wedding and it really was a fabulous ceremony.
The church was very quaint and full to the rafters. During the ceremony the hailstones were coming down hard and it wasn’t looking great outside. Amazingly when the ceremony finished the sun came blazing through the windows. someone was indeed looking down on the couple.
I arranged the whole congregation to line up either side of the path fully ready with the confetti and then the bride & groom made their way out the church and Adam and Roz ran through making a great picture.
We all left and continued the Photographs at the fabulous Friern Manor. We had an hour to take all the pictures but I was conscious that I didn’t want it to all be photos .. so I hit the pictures hard and got all the shots I needed whilst the light was good and then headed into the Manor House to see all the Guests.. after 20 minutes we all went out to take the group shots.
Roz and Adam lined up to receive their guests into the beautiful wedding room. They put me on a table with some of their closest friends for the meal and what great conversation and company it was.
I have to say Friern Manor staff were absolutely fantastic, so professional in all areas. The attention to detail was second-to-none. Roz and Adam Wedding at Friern Manor Essex really well done.
After the meal, the brides dad delivered a speech that was beautiful then Adam (a natural and gifted public speaker) absolutely sailed through and was amazing. His Best man finished the speeches off with a speech worthy of the grooms best friend.. it was serious, fun and there were hidden secrets in it that unless you knew the stories of the stag do you wouldn’t have picked up on it.
The couple finished the formal proceedings with a beautiful first dance before heading out onto the bridge at Friern Manor for the most beautiful finishing picture lit up at night.
Roz and Adam Wedding at Friern Manor Essex. It really was great to be your photographer and to see your family again after 9 years.
