I first met Sam and Rob back in 2019 when they came over to my studio to book me for their wedding. With Covid the wedding was rearranged and eventually took place on 6th October 2022. The venue was Parklands Quendon Hall, a venue that I know very well having shot there many times before.

“Omg JP! They are beautiful! Thank you soooo much for everything. You was so reassuring and amazing. Everyone loved you xx”

Heres a snippet from their day with photos, please enjoy. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*   These Images are low resolution. I arrived nice and early with the drone to capture the scene and get some nice background footage for the storybook album.

Getting ready

Sam and Rob both got ready at the venue so It worked out perfectly for all the getting ready shots. Rob had use of the Gentlemans Room (a beautiful room with football table and drinks cabinet). Rob put his suit on in here with his best man Ryan. His mates then joined him for a drink before heading downstairs.

Sam and the girls got ready in the suite at the top of the venue with its own beauty room. Once all the make up was done Billy and her auntie Kate took the dress and hung it in the secret passageway at Parklands. A beautiful area that looks amazing in the photos. Sam then got into the dress and Dal came in and saw her for the first time in her dress. After an emotional moment they went down the staircase to get ready for the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony

The ceremony was intimate and classy, lifelong family friend Dal the brides second dad gave her away. Whats lovely with Parklands is the inside rooms are flooded with natural light so I didnt need to use un-obtrusive flash. Most of the time people werent aware that I was taking photos which is the way that I like to shoot weddings.

Photos after the ceremony

After a big group shot of the whole wedding party we headed out into the grounds for the main shoot with Billie helping us throw the veil up and lay the dress out. then I shot all the group pictures before heading in to the main building.

Confetti and Meal

As Parklands Quendon Hall is a Deer Park you have to take the confetti photo inside. So we got everyone assembled inside and waited the bride and groom to come in. Once this was done Sam and Rob sat down in the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Just towards the end of the meal sam and Rob had arranged a surprise for their guests “the singing waiters”. They had everyone up and did a great job.

First Dance and Golden Hour

The sun was starting to set so we went outside for ten minutes and captured the sunset. Then it was time for the first dance and party.

“Sam and Rob, what a great day. It was lovely meeting everyone and having the honour of photographing your big day. I look forward to meeting you soon for the viewing”.

Please give it a like 🙂
