Tamara and Joshua – Wedding at Fanhams Hall
Bride – Tamara Barford
Groom – Joshua Jordon
Photographer – John Paul ODonnell
Venue – Fanhams Hall
Entertainment – SPJ
I got up nice and early and looked out the window, it was a beautiful bright day; I was so pleased for the bride and groom. I left home and headed over to Fanhams Hall to get the early getting ready shots. Joshua was in his room waiting for his boys to arrive. He was pretty chilled having a nice drink. Shortly after the boys all came in and started to get ready. There is a huge window in the room and I made good use of the natural light. The boys were all messing about and having a laugh together…”great photo opportunity!”.
I went into see Tamara. She was having her hair and make up done with the girls. What a lovely and friendly group of ladies. They were listening to their disney music whilst sipping their prosecco. With the help of the bridesmaids we hung the dresses all together creating some great shots. It was now time for them all to get into their dresses so after a few quick pics I left them to it to go and get ready for the ceremony.
I went into the Long Gallery where the ceremony was taking place. The final touches all came together beautifully. Joshua came in and the guests all took their seats. It was now time for Tamara to make her entrance. She was given away by her godfather Michael and she looked absolutely stunning. The guests all turned and looked as she walked in. The ceremony was intimate and Nathaniel delivered an amazing reading bringing tears to everyones eyes. The ceremony finished with a big kiss and all the guests cheering. We went out into the grounds and took the main pictures in the formal gardens, the Japanese gardens and finished in the courtyard where I used the archways and steps for some lovely intimate shots of the couple together.
The room was now set for the wedding breakfast. The meal was served which was amazing, Fanhams Halls executive chef Paul Bray was there and very pleased with the menu. The speeches followed and were all brilliant. They finished with Conor the best man delivering a speech of perfection. You can see he’s very close to Joshua, a rugby teammate and is going out with his sister so great mates and almost family. The bride and groom cut their wedding cake and then had their first dance together. Afterwards some of the rugby boys came out for cigars and the singing started, a real great bunch of lads. I finished the pics with a shot of the bride and groom at the bottom of the beautiful staircase.
As a documentary wedding photographer, preserving memories for people is what I do. Being able to do so for people means a lot and is a massive privilege and a great joy. I had so much fun photographing Tamara and Joshua’s wedding and wish them a lifetime of happiness and adventures!
