I have been a recommended photographer at Essendon Country Club for nearly a year now. It is an amazing venue to shoot at and if you are planning a wedding this is a serious contender for your big day. The Grand Barn is approached by around a 2 mile drive through the old golf course. The venue is privately owned, meticulously maintained and has a great team who will do anything to make your day perfect.

The day started with some pictures at Pauls parents house. Paul got ready there with his best man Brad. After a few photos getting ready and a few shots out in the garden I headed over to Brookmans Park to see Charlotte. Charlotte was having her hair and make up done. I just blended in and got lots of nice natural pictures. Charlotte was now ready in her dress, her dad walked in and saw her for the first time. This moment never ceases to surprise me her dad (Simon) had the biggest smile on his face and Charlotte had a few tears which she tried hard to hold back trying not to ruin her make up. Everyone then left the house to head to Essendon Country Club. Charlotte and her dad travelled in a 1960’s Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, what a lovely way to make the journey.

Charlotte and Paul got married in The 16th Century Grand Barn at Essendon Country Club. This really is a spectacular Barn and great place to get married. The ceremony was fun and intimate, there was a beautiful moment when their little girl Mila only 13 months joined them for the ceremony. They then headed down the staircase and out into the gardens. I took a photo of the whole wedding party then Charlotte and Paul had a drinks reception beside the lake and Grand Barn with all their guests.

We then headed out on the Golf Buggy and with the help of Georgina the maid of honour (brides sister) and Tracy we shot some lovely pictures out on the golf course. Once we got back I shot all the group pictures beside the lake which is a lovely spot.

The meal was served and the speeches then followed after. I took a quick opportunity to do a golden hour shoot and the bride and groom walked round the lake in the sun. Paul picked his wife up and it was a lovely moment to capture, they laughed a lot which was great for me snapping away. I put the drone up for 10 minutes and got some nice footage.

The DJ was now set up and it was time for the evenings entertainment. Charlotte and Paul then cut their wedding cake at the top of the staircase in view of all their guests and then had their first dance together as husband and wife. The party was now on and the dance floor rammed out.

Charlotte and Paul, Id like to say thank you for booking me to take your photos. Not meeting Paul till the day wasnt a problem. We hit it off straight away looking at his dads bench building handy work and his BMW street race car. But the first time I met you Charlotte, your mum, dad and sister at the Fanhams Hall wedding show I knew that I wanted to be the one to capture your day and do it justice photographically. You are a great family and lovely people, Simon if I ever need any printing done I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The weather could not have been anymore perfect, that rain in the morning soon shifted and the sun came through.  I look forward to seeing you for the viewing soon. JP
