Fanhams Hall Wedding Photography

I have been a recommended photographer at Fanhams Hall for over 12 years now. It is without doubt one of my favourite venues to shoot at.

Emily and Connor both live in BC (British Columbia) which is Canadas westernmost province. They live in a stunning place on the Pacific coastline and mountain ranges. Both Emily and Connors families travelled from all over the world to be here for the wedding. This was one of the best weddings I have ever photographed. There was a beautiful blessing by one of the couples very close friends. If ever a couple are meant to be together its these two, they met whilst Emily was away travelling and they fell in love. Anyone can see the love the for each other and it resignates through them both.

The Big Day. Everything took place at Fanhams Hall I arrived there at 11am. At one end of the venue Emily was getting ready the other end Connor. When I arrived I went into the room where Connor was, his suit was almost on and he was chilling with his boys and what a great group of boys they were. All of them had travelled from BC to be with him for his wedding. Bob Seger was playing, the best man cracked the champagne open,  these guys were super cool. I got some great pictures and left them for a bit to go and see Emily.

I had communicated with Emily through email and whatts app but we hadnt met. When I walked in and saw her for the first time I saw a natural beauty, smiling away so happy. The first shot I took when I hit that shutter she was having her make up done.  I knew straight away that she had modelled. She knew how to look at the camera, making very small adjustments each time the shutter clicked; I knew today I would get some amazing pictures and I did.

The weather wasn’t great it was raining and to be honest it didn’t stop until after the meal. I knew that we would get a break in the rain later on so I decided to shoot all the pictures up in the Long Gallery. This was the right move and worked out very well. The Long Gallery is a stunning room and has a 180 degree view of the formal gardens. There are massive windows where the light just floods in. Before the rain came I managed to take a shot of the whole wedding party outside in the light rain, the groomsmen got everyone up in the long gallery for there for the confetti shot.  This worked really well, I got all the group shots taken.  After the meal Fanhams Hall got the golf buggy out and we went down into the main gardens for the photo shoot, no rain just the stunning gardens and a beautiful couple.

I shot the pictures in the wysteria, Japanese tea house and bridges then used the main formal gardens for the final part of the shoot. On the way back the bridal party joined us and we did a few fun shots.  Then we headed in for the First dance and party. In all the years I have been taking professional photos I have never seen a group of people party as hard as this lot, omg it was brilliant.

Emily and Connor, what a day; spending it with you and being there to see you get married makes me feel so priviledged and happy that you chose me. If any of your family in BC is getting married I would seriously consider making the journey to do the photos. Enjoy your honeymoon in the UK and I look forward to seeing you for the viewing before you head back home. JP 🙂

Please give it a like 🙂
