Hi everyone.. here’s a little write-up on Daniel and Emmas wedding on sunday 18th december. It was a fabulous wedding and I have met some great people. Hope you enjoy reading this and seeing some of the pictures I have selected… make sure you check out the Boomerang Instagram clips below too.
Well, I first met Daniel and Emma Louise when they popped along to Theobald’s Park wedding show back in October. They had decided to get married fairly last-minute and came over to see me. Emma Louise was looking through the books and Daniel and I were chatting. He is very in to his photography and is a gifted amateur photographer and film maker. They had a very clear vision of how they wanted their pictures to be. So they came over to my studio and we chatted about the day and I then got them booked in.
The wedding day came, it was a bit of a foggy, chilly morning but it was also bright and fresh. I headed over to the bride and grooms flat to see Daniel (the groom), his brother and ushers all getting ready. They were putting the shirts and trousers on and doing their ties up and having a can of cider. Daniel has brilliant taste and his suit and waistcoat was very stylish as were the rest of the boys. So they cracked the champagne open and did some pictures in the flat before going outside to do a walking shot under the cover of the rising fog whilst sipping a nice chilled glass of bubbly. We had a lot of fun taking the shots and I said to them all id leave them to finish the bottle as I needed to get over to see Emma Louise (the stunning bride).
When I arrived at Emma Louise’s parents house, she was having her hair finished off .. she had done her own make up along with the rest of the girls. I did some shots of them all getting ready ..it was then that the brides dad walked in and saw her in her beautiful wedding dress. This is a moment you could never get bored with seeing… everyone was crying it was a moment that froze in time.
Emma’s mum and dad had arranged for a beautiful white rolls royce to collect her and take her to the hotel. She never knew anything about it and her face as she saw it was a picture – really was. Whilst she was out there the neighbours were all coming out to see her… such lovely friendly people. She looked absolutely beautiful.
I shot over to Theobald’s Park to get set up for the ceremony and on arrival managed to grab a few pictures of all the boys… Sam one of the ushers had just bought them all a nice bottle of champagne so they cracked it open and toasted to their brilliant and close mate ” good luck”. We did a few pictures with the house behind which certainly makes a nice backdrop to the pictures. Daniel then went in with the registrars and the wedding guests then followed.
It was at this point that the bridesmaids pulled in with their matching black cars and then as I looked down the drive the white rolls royce was pulling in. The bride and her dad got out and walked in to the mansion with the bridesmaids. I then went in and got set up for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was very romantic with Daniel and Emma Louise taking in every word and having to pause in places as the emotion and the love for each other came out in the vowels. In all the years I have been doing weddings I’ve very rarely seen a groom take in the words so closely and say them so meaningfully.
The ceremony finished with the couple having a nice kiss and signing the registers. They then lead the guests out for some pictures whilst the light was good. I took the pictures with everyone fairly quickly and then took the couple to the front of the mansion for some shots on their own. When I shoot pictures at Theobald’s I like to use the red brick, pillars and natural stonework. The beautiful mosaic floors and ornate ceilings make a wonderful area for pictures so I took plenty more pictures inside too.
After the pictures everyone went through to the room for the meal and we were treated to three amazing speeches. Start the father of the bride – articulate and confident beautiful stories about his daughter and how proud he is of her and how he admirers Daniel too. Daniel then delivered a beautiful speech to everyone and he spoke naturally and with ease about how lucky he is to have such a lovely and beautiful wife. At the end of the speech the lights dropped and Daniel played a short video of their time together as a couple ..pieced together from clips on his phone – he had created an amazing story of their time and journey up to this moment.. ” that for me personally was a different level” – “”Outstanding” and the guests loved it. Then Adam brother and best man… a gifted actor whose used to being on stage. He was as good a best man as Ive ever seen.. you can see how close the two of them are and Adam spoke from the heart about how much he admires his older brother and looks up to him. After the speech Daniel announced that it was his brothers birthday tomorrow and then the staff at Theobalds bought out a cake for him.
The disco was now set up and ready and all the guests went into the room. Howard Neil then announced the bride and groom in and they cut their wedding cake before their first dance which was to “The thought of you” Michael Buble…a lovely song. I then went out to the foyer and shot a few pictures using off camera flash to capture the light and shadows of the inside of the mansion and also the outside shot with the bride and groom lit whilst cuddling each other.
We then went in and I got some drunken dancing / fun shots and some #boomerang videos on Instagram before going over to say my goodbyes.
Daniel and Emma Louise, seriously well done on putting together such a beautiful wedding. The attention to detail and the personal touch on everything was perfect. Have a great Christmas and I will see you early in the new year for the viewing. JP
