All week the weather was changing, I woke up and looked at the weather I could see that it was wet. There was a window of dry sunny weather forecast between 1pm and 3pm, so I was hopeful it was going to be nice weather after the ceremony.  The weather held out, it was dry but there was an ice cold chill in the air.
When I arrived at the house the girls were in great spirits having their hair and makeup done, drinking some bubbles and chatting about the day ahead. Once Gemma was in her dress and ready I set up a reveal for her Dad and his response was one of the best I have ever seen! He is clearly very proud of Gemma!

The girls travelled to the ceremony in style in a super Stretch Limousine with Gull wing Doors, iv’e never seen nothing like it.  I got to Three Lakes nice and early and got some nice shots of James and his boys. The guests were arriving for the big day. The ceremony went without a hitch. It was conducted by Richard Edwards and his wife Corinne. Gemma looked stunning walking up the aisle with her Dad and both the bride and groom were clearly so moved to see each other, they smiled through out and I could see James trying to make Gemma laugh. The couple walked out to much applause followed by many hugs and congratulations. We then set up a 30 foot mast and took a group shot of the whole wedding party together.

I took the opportunity whilst it was still light to get some photographs of Gemma and James around the venue. The wind had picked up a bit and at one point Gemma’s veil was ripped off her head but we managed to keep hold of it.

Soon it was time to sit down for the dinner. I got some nice natural photos of everyone chatting at the tables. Then saw a great opportunity as the sun was setting over the lakes. The bride and Groom came out and and we did some amazing sun set shots.  The speeches then followed and went really well being both very funny and heartfelt and everyone throughly enjoyed them all.

The DJ was now set up and ready, the guests surrounded the dancefloor and Gemma and James cut their beautiful wedding cake. They then had their first dance together which was beautiful.

This wedding really was a perfect day and went without a hitch. The sun even popped out for a short while and the rain held off too.

Thanks so much to Gemma and James for choosing me as your Three Lakes  wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to photograph your day and meet such a lovely crowd of friends and family. A huge congratulations to you both and all the best for your future lives together.
