As the wedding was taking place in the North of Norfolk. I decided to make my way on the 125 mile trip the day before the wedding. I arrived in Cromer and went round to all the venues for tomorrow and made notes of locations for potential photo opportunities. That evening I went for some food in the local Thai Restaurant which was fantastic. I then walked down to the beech and got chatting to some local fishermen.  It was such a beautiful spot the sun was setting, what a lovely evening it was and tomorrow was forecast to be hot and sunny.

The day itself started with me going down to the beach and having the most beautiful breakfast, the weather was glorious. I was now ready to make my way over to the Manor Farm. I arrived at Manor Farm Campsite where the bride and groom were staying in separate cottages. When I arrived Rob was having breakfast with his best men great guys and they were all very chilled. They then got into their suits before making their way over to the Reading Room for the wedding ceremony. I then went over to the brides cottage and got some shots of her getting ready. Katies dress was hanging up and I went in with Loretta her mum and took some lovely pictures. Katie then got into her dress and her dad came in and saw her in it for the first time. He was blown away and had a tear in his eye.

I then made my way to The Reading Room for the wedding ceremony.  The ceremony was small and intimate with only the very closest of  people there.  The civil ceremony was done beautifully by the registrars and finished with Katie and Rob having one of the longest kisses I’ve photographed in 26 years of being a pro photographer. I went outside and everyone greeted the bride and groom. After a few pictures we got into the wedding car and made the ten minute journey back to Manor Farm. This is a place which is a very sentimental and important to Katie and Robert. I used the old brick barns and bridges and then we went into the hay field. Robert leaped 5 feet up onto the top of the hay and I started snapping away getting those important farmyard shots.

We then headed back to The Reading Room and the celebration carried on. The meal was served which was absolutely first class and Simon the owner came over and chatted to me telling me the story of how his wife Jo and him came to own such a magnificent place. The evening guests started to arrive. Katie and Robert had pictures with them as they walked in and greeted them. The speeches were about to start and everyone gathered outside which was a perfect for such a gorgeous evening.  The speeches were brilliant, full of humour, seriousness and love. The band were now set up and ready to blow the roof off of the beautiful 17th Century Barn. The bride and groom came in and I positioned them by the cake, taking a few pictures of them cutting it. They then took their positions for their first dance together. This was a beautiful moment and they were surrounded by over 100 friends and family. The party was now on, everyone was up and the band were superb.

I finished the photos with a beautiful off camera flash shot against the sky at the same time making sure the beautiful building was very much seen.
