My name is John Paul ODonnell. I am a professional wedding photographer in Herts. I wanted to blog about my experiences as a recommended Theobalds Park Wedding Photographer and give my honest review of the wedding venue and setup.
I have worked at Theobalds Park on many occasions now photographing over 100 weddings and events there. It is a great venue to hold your wedding and has over 140 bedrooms. The driveway up to the main house is over one mile long. As you get to the top of the drive you see the beautiful mansion house. The house itself sits in 55 acres of Hertfordshire countryside. It really does have that wow factor and degree of elegance about it.
Theobalds Park is split into two separate locations. The Mansion House and The Ridings Barn.
The Mansion House. Has an amazing entrance area, very grand rooms and a beautiful staircase. The terrace is beautiful and the Italian gardens make for great pictures. You can get married inside the Mansion or outside in the Italian Gardens.
The Ridings Barn is positioned at the far end of an open courtyard and is surrounded by rooms all looking out onto it. Your guests are very close to the Banqueting room. In the summer guests sit outside into the early hours of the morning continuing the party. You can get married outside in the Ridings barn and have the amazing treehouse for photos.
The staff at Theobalds Park are very helpful. The wedding coordinators are very good and are at hand to plan your day to the finest detail. The food is great and the bar menu is reasonably priced too.
