It was my first time shooting a wedding at the luxurious Baddow Park House in Essex. When you arrive at Baddow Park House you are blown away by the beauty and detail that surrounds you from every angle both inside and out. The new owners Samantha and James Martin have recently transformed the venue to an impeccable standard.
I arrived early to check the venue and grounds out so I put the drone up and took some pics. Then I had a walk around taking everything in. So many beautiful areas you really are spoilt for choice.
Amber was getting ready with her mum and bridesmaids in the Salon. The Salon is a purpose built detached building with accommodation within the grounds of Baddow Park House. This was perfect, all the girls together getting their hair and make up done. After the make up and hair Amber made her way over to the main house to put her dress on with her mum. Whilst she as doing this I went in to see Mark who was getting suited and booted upstairs.
The Civil Ceremony took place in The Orangery. The room is magnificent, 180 degrees of windows surrounds the room allowing the light to pour in. Once the ceremony finished Amber and Mark went to the front for a glass of champagne whilst I got everyone assembled for the confetti shot.
Then, they walked into the lych-gate and rang the bell (a tradition at Baddow Park House). Afterward they walked out and the guests gave them a huge cheer as they all threw.
After a lovely drinks reception with their guests we headed around to the front of the beautiful Essex Mansion. I used the front of the house for the photos as we were sheltered from the very light rain. Once the rain blew over I took the family and friends photographs. Then I managed to get some time with Amber and Mark before we headed into the Orangery for the wedding breakfast.
It was very generous of Amber and Mark to put me on the table plan and I sat in the main room with the guests. This was lovely and I got to experience the amazing service that the team at Baddow Park House give. What a great team they are, every single one of them went above and beyond to make the day perfect.
The sun was setting so with the help of Rhiannon “A rock star of a bridesmaid” we headed out. I used an area that looks onto the vineyard, what a beautiful spot it was. Then on the way in I took an amazing shot across the lake with the reflection of Orangery on the water.
The DJ was set up and ready and got everyone into the room for the cake cutting. Then it was time for the first dance and the party to start. The party was on, everyone was up and the art deco bar was busy.
The last picture I took was Mark and his closest friends in the drawing room. This traditional picture has been taken 6 times before. Each of those 6 people do a shot of whisky and then have their name engraved on the bottle. This started back in May 2015 when the bottle was purchased by the lads after a stag do with the remainder of the whip. I loved this, it really was so cool and what a great bunch of lads they are.
