As a professional photographer I am very lucky that my job enables me to go to some amazing places. One of the most beautiful country houses I have had the pleasure to photograph at is Mulberry House. As soon as you pull into the driveway and look ahead you see the fantastic Georgian Mansion which dates back to 1767.
But what makes Mulberry House so beautiful is not only the aesthetics but the team who run it. The team are ✨National Award Winners 2023 /2024 and ✨Essex Award Winners 2022 / 2023 /2024.
I had the honour to photograph one of my last weddings of 2024 at this amazing venue. The Bride and Groom met me at a wedding I shot earlier in the year and after that wedding they got in touch with me and I booked them in.
As soon as I arrived at Mulberry House on the day Clare and Jo were on hand to make sure the wedding ran perfectly. There are only a few wedding venues I work at where the wedding co-ordinators actually run the day. Mulberry House is one of them.
The day went really well, both the bride and the groom got ready at Mulberry House in separate parts of the mansion. The groom lost his dad fairly recently so his mum was helping them get ready. I then went in to see the bride and oh my did she know how to pose for the camera! After all the getting ready shots and some beautiful bridal portraits it was time to head down to the Cedar Suite to set up for the wedding Ceremony. The Ceremony was beautiful TJ had done all the Christmas flowers in there so it looked unbelievable.
We all then headed outside for drinks and photos. As the ground was wet and muddy I mainly used the front of the mansion house for the photos. We were sheltered from the wind and everyone was quite happy not having to go onto the grass. The groom being a powerlifter picked the bride up and took her over to the bridge. I got some lovely shots there as the light slowly dropped.
We then all headed into the Marquee for the wedding breakfast. I sat with the DJ, we were so well looked after by Clare and Jo. Then I went in to set up for the speeches. After some amazing speeches the bride and groom took to the dance floor for their first dance and party.
